International cooperation: round table at the University "Mediterranean" in Podgorica

We would like to inform you that the University of the Mediterranean in Podgorica will be held on Wednesday 6th. December 2023. A Round Table on the topic: "Challenges of Tourism 21. through the cooperation of continental and coastal tourism.”

Schedule of activities:

1. Lecture by the rector of the University for Business Studies and full professor in the scientific field of marketing, prof. Dr Biljana Rađenović Kozić:

1. Topic: "Challenges of marketing in the 21st century".
2. Emphasis on the place and role of tourists as consumers in the market 21. century.
3. The materialism of tourists as consumers: is it becoming more pronounced or has it always been?
4. Ethnocentrism of tourists as consumers: can ethnocentrism be present in the behavior of tourists?
5. Socialization of society and tourism: has social realisation become the realisation of Tourism?
6. New media: do we just stick to consumption in a negative sense or can it be socially useful?

- The place of promotion in tourism in the era of new media: how they are used, has the role of innovators in consumption changed?
Are new media socially useful and not just consumed in a negative sense?

2. Lecture by prof. Dr Marija Knežević, full professor at the University of Business Studies :

• Theme: "Connecting coastal and continental tourism through the Adriatic-Ionian strategy".
• Focus on the importance and implementation of the project.

3. Other activities :

• Panel discussion.
• Workshop for students.

This event represents an important step of the University for Business Studies in promoting international cooperation and exchange of experiences. Different perspectives and expert lectures on the topic of challenge 21. a century in tourism will provide insight into current trends and encourage a constructive dialogue.
